Monday Night Quarterback

Today's theme is football...

Somewhat.

This weekend, my wife and I attended the Chicago Football Classic. This year, West Virginia State University handled Central State University in a clash of two HBCUs.

We had a ball in the stands, met alumni of both the schools and my wife's alma matter Langston University. Even made a few business contacts and took some notes on about a few movrs and shakers...

The battle of the bands was OFF THE FRIGGIN' CHAIN!!!

All in all, we had a good weekend, capped off with me being left in front of the the set all day yesterday as I watched enough football to be a Fox post game analyst.

Oh, and a mechanic or detailer stole my GPS outta' my truck. Can you believe my wife offered me the one I gifted to her?

Awwwwww. She ain't getting it back when I buy a new one later this week.

Cool stuff! Sounds like a fun weekend outing!

Sucks about the GPS though.

I hope you buy HER a good one when you do since you aren't giving hers back.

Quit huffing and puffing Oldgirl, she gets the new one. I bought her the same model I had just in case this happened because I'm so used to that one.

And we're supposed to attend Langston U's (her alma matter) homecoming later this fall and Central State ain't that far, so the HBCU football attendance tradition continues.

That's crazy i found this blog. I'm in Cincinnati and a Langston University alum who frequents Chicago all the time. You better make that Lioness wifey of yours happy lol...LU's homecoming will be off the chain, see you there.

This is my first visit to your spot...I like. Sounds like you two had a great time, but a better time would have been a performance by the often imitated, never duplicated FAMU Rattlers!!!! Of course I'm biased because I'm a Rattler through and through.

Sucks about your GPS :(

What a nice post! Nothing like a weekend with the one you love; especially drama free?!!

Good to see you two enjoying each other : )
